Admonition
Ambition, avarice, personal animosity, party opposition, and many other motives operate equally upon those who support and those who oppose either side of a question. This circumstance, if duly attended to, would furnish a lesson of moderation to those who are ever so persuaded of their being right in any controversy. For in politics, as in religion, it is equally absurd to aim at making proselytes by fire and sword.

Real shame, hope you’re both okay, whatever problems can be resolved, and the debate can continue.
If it is the result of a difference of opinions, perhaps you can both produce a list of contentions and proposed resolutions and let your judges decide?

Glad to hear that, at least. I trust you’ll both sort it all out soon enough. If not, well, it’d be a shame as it seems premature, but worse has happened. Thanks for both being grown up about it too.
